At Nexus exists because the gap between a founder selling a business and a fund buying one is wider than it should be. Owners spend decades building something durable, and the typical institutional buyer arrives with a template, a timeline, and a thesis written before the first meeting.

We work differently. We are an independent sponsor, which means we raise capital one deal at a time, alongside our own. We get to pick the companies, the partners, and the structure. We get to spend time with owners well before any process. And we get to be selective in a way that funds, by design, cannot.

Our partners have operated companies, not just bought them. We have carried payroll, built and lost teams, and lived with the consequences of our own decisions. We know what it takes to run one of these businesses because we have done it, and that shapes how we diligence a company and how we work with the people who built it.

Our partners have built and operated businesses, not just invested in them. We've managed payroll, hired and lost teams, navigated downturns, and lived with the consequences of our decisions. That firsthand operating experience shapes how we evaluate companies and how we partner with the founders who built them. We understand the realities of running these businesses because we've done it ourselves and we approach every partnership with that perspective.

Ben founded At Nexus to build a different kind of acquirer, one grounded in real operating experience, not just financial engineering. His background spans healthcare services, finance, manufacturing, construction, home services, and industrial businesses, where he has founded, scaled, operated, and exited multiple companies over the course of his career.

Having served as a founder, operator, board member, and now sponsor, Ben brings a practical, owner-oriented perspective to every partnership. He leads sourcing, transaction strategy, and post-close operational execution, remaining actively involved long after a transaction closes. For many business owners, he is both the first conversation and a long-term partner through the next chapter of growth.

Today, At Nexus is focused on building leading enduringly profitable platforms across the United States, with active investments and acquisitions in plumbing, electrical, and roofing businesses.

Behind Ben is a deep team of specialists who work on every transaction. Diligence, automation, tax, quality of earnings, and legal capability sits inside the sponsor group, not outsourced to billable hours.
